April’s ‘Plant of the Month’ is Narcissus ‘Jet Fire’. Narcissus ‘Jetfire’ is a daffodil which grows to 20cm in height. It has narrow, bright green leaves and flowers 7cm in width, with bright yellow, slightly reflexed petals and a bright orange trumpet. It likes moist but well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. The bulbs should be planted in autumn at one and a half to two times its own depth. It’s ideal in flower borders planted under shrubs and can be used as a cut flower. It would also look good in a city or courtyard style or cottage garden. It can be grown in containers on a patio.
